History and Origin
Rosemary is a shrub of the lamiaceae family native to the Mediterranean area.Its stem, that can reach two metres in length, is covered with a greyish bark and divides into opposing branches. Its leaves are longer than they are wide, with slightly rolled edges. Its blue flower spikes blossom from January to May. The name "rosemary" derives from the Latin for "dew" (ros) and "sea" (marinus), or "dew of the sea".
Rosemary has been one of the first plants widely used therapeutically, for cooking as well as for its pleasant aroma. As an example, in Ancient Greece, rosemary sprigs were burnt as incense at shrines. In the Middle Age, it was used to treat respiratory and circulatory disorders, liver congestion, muscular and rheumatic pain as well as skin and hair problems.

Oil Characteristics: Aspect: mobile and clear liquid. Colour: Pale yellow to yellowish green. Odor: Fresh and camphorated.
Energetic and Emotional Effect: Rosemary oil is a psychic protector, particularly effective when used in the morning. The oil can also be used as a home protector. It is better to use it in the morning, because it acts as a stimulant and can cause insomnia. Rosemary stimulates the brain and mental activity. On a supreme spiritual level, it can also help development of clairvoyance.
Culinary
There are 3 different kinds of rosemary: cineol rosemary, camphor rosemary and verbenone rosemary. Verbenone rosemary is better in the kitchen while camphor rosemary must be banned completely. The main culinary agreements are: compotes, oils, sauces, jams, mayonnaise, goat cheeses, eggs, poultries, marinades, vegetables, lambs, dressings.

15 drops of lemon EO
15 drops of rosemary EO
5 drops of thyme EO
125ml of demineralised water or spring water
5ml of 70 % isopropyl alcohol
Mix essential oils and alcohol. Add the mix to water. Pour into a glass atomizer. Shake well to mix. Allow to stand for at least one week, agitating occasionally. Spray in a room to remove bad persistent odours or to purify air.
