Aroma and Taste:
Rose hydrosol faithfully captures the fragrance of a fresh rose. Its aroma, both complex and sublime, reveals a lemony note typical of the rustic rose varieties used for distillation. Moist, fresh, and intensely floral, it offers a striking sensory experience. In its pure form, it has a powerful, penetrating flavor that can sometimes feel too intense. Once diluted, however, its taste becomes delicate, subtle, and pleasantly floral. After smelling and tasting a true rose hydrosol, you will easily recognize any imitation.

Stability and Storage:
Rose hydrosol is relatively stable and generally keeps for at least two years, depending on its quality. When produced from dried petals, its aroma—already lighter at the start—begins to fade after ten to twelve months.

Rose hydrosol offers a wide range of applications and is so enjoyable to use that you don’t need to wait for a problem to benefit from it. As a natural humectant, it helps increase and retain moisture, making it ideal for normal, dry, mature, sensitive, or devitalized skin. Moderately astringent and refreshing, it can be applied as a mask, sprayed on the skin, or used as a compress.

Combined with rockrose (cistus) hydrosol, it creates a particularly effective anti-wrinkle treatment while softening the strong aroma of cistus. It can also be added to bath water for a relaxing and revitalizing moment, or used in a postpartum sitz bath or intimate cleansing routine as a refined and effective hygiene solution.

People with chemical sensitivities or reactions to commercial fragrances can use it as a hypoallergenic body perfume, on clothing, or as a room spray.
