History and Origin
Michelia champaca is a shrub that grows in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Its dark green leaves are shining and persistent. Its white flowers are very aromatic. Michelia alba has traditionally been used in ceremonies to mark births, deaths and holidays. The essential oil is very much used in perfumery for its floral and vanilla hints.
